Contact
WhoWasErased is a free public ledger of 32 documented U.S. government resources that were deleted, taken offline, altered or blocked. There is one way to reach us, and it is email.
We read every message. We cannot promise a reply to all of them, and we do not publish the identity of anyone who writes in.
Report a removal
Send the original URL, what you saw before, and anything that dates the change. We run the three checks — live fetch, Wayback snapshot, independent source — and file it only if it holds up.
Request a correction
If an entry is wrong, out of date, or a resource has been restored, tell us which entry and what changed. Corrections are made against the same three checks.
Reuse the data
The dataset is published under CC0-1.0 at /api/v1/entries.json. No permission or key is needed. Email us if you want to tell us how you are using it.
What to expect
- There is no contact form and no account on this site — email is the only channel.
- Messages arrive in a normal email inbox. See our privacy notice for how that is handled.
- Filed entries appear in the ledger and in the published JSON dataset.
